The mission of the Revista Gênero e Interdisciplinaridade (GEI) is intended to inform the academic community about the challenges and perspectives that cover the interdisciplinary discussion of gender. The objective of GEI is to stimulate debate and scientific production with the purpose of producing knowledge and acting as a social transformer and instrument of reflection for equality between individuals. The target audience of our journal is post-docs, doctors, masters and graduate students. Thus, authors must have a degree cited or attend a postgraduate course. In addition, GEI will accept participation in co-authorship.

The GEI submission policy will receive scientific articles with a minimum of 5,000 and a maximum of 8,000 words and critical reviews with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8 pages. Papers will be received as a priority with the opening of Call for Paper, in which the papers will be distributed in up to 4 (four) regular annual publications between the months of May, July, September and December, as well as at the journal's discretion until 2 (two) special editions with works in English or Spanish. Our evaluation policy is intended to follow the criteria of novelty, reasoned discussion and covered with relevant theoretical and practical value. The journal will give preference to receiving articles with empirical research, not rejecting other methodological approaches.

All papers must deal with interdisciplinary analyzes that involve an interface between the law and several other areas of the humanities and health, as the GEI is committed to seeking the interdisciplinary nature of scientific debate. Thus, the articles will be analyzed by merit (in which it will be discussed whether the work fits the GEI proposals) and formatting (which corresponds to an assessment of Portuguese and the foreign language used).

The analysis time of each work will be around two months after the deposit on our website resulting from the opening of the publication notice. The article evaluation process in the journal initially takes place in the submission of articles without mentioning the author(s) and/or co-author(s) at any time during the electronic submission phase. The mention of data is made only to the system that hides the name(s) of the author(s) or co-author(s) to the evaluators, in order to make the evaluation possible.

The choice of the evaluator is made by the editor according to the area of training at the undergraduate and graduate level of the evaluator teacher with the theme to be addressed by the author(s) and/or co-author(s) of the evaluated article. When the evaluation is finished without mentioning the name(s) of the author(s) and/or co-author(s), an acceptance letter is sent by the evaluator, accepting with alteration or rejection of the article sent depending on the opinion of the evaluator.

The next step is the drafting of the letter by the editor with the respective opinion of the reviewer for the author(s) and/or co-author(s). Finally, if the work is accepted or accepted with suggestions for modifications, the author(s) and/or co-author(s) are informed of the respective deadlines and addition of their data(s) as well as academic qualification . This journal offers immediate free access to its content, following the principle that making scientific knowledge freely available to the public provides greater global democratization of knowledge.
